Road Map to Community Resilience

Operationalizing the Framework for Community Resilience through the Enhanced Vulnerability and Capacity Assessment (EVCA)

Ready for the Journey?

The Road Map to Community Resilience (R2R) is a guide with a new approach and a participatory process developed by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) to enable communities to become more resilient through the assessment and analysis of the risks they face, and the implementation of actions to reduce these risks.

Red Cross and Red Crescent National Societies will support communities in their resilience journey through their services of enabling, accompanying and connecting.

Background of the R2R v2

The Road Map to Community Resilience via EVCA (R2R v2) is the second version of the Road Map to Community Resilience (R2R), which was launched in 2017.

Following the pilot testing of R2R in 12 countries and in line with the recommendation of National Societies at the global lessons learned workshop in 2018, IFRC has developed the R2R v2 and this platform to make its tools and related resources easily accessible by users.
