Malawi: Integrated Food Security Programme

This Integrated Food Security Programme is supported by the Finnish Red Cross
“The video shows the experience of the Malawi Red Cross Society that has introduced an integrated food security programme in 2011 as part of their wider food security strategy. It integrates community-based health care, sustainable livelihoods and water and sanitation together with HIV/AIDS awareness activities. The National Society has been implementing food security projects for over a decade, particularly under programmes which are aimed at supporting the food production of people living with HIV and children orphaned by AIDS.”
