UNDP- CIRDA Programme: Benin’s Early Warning System

Acces to climate information is a vital aspect of adaptation planning, particularly when it comes to creating life saving early warning systems. UNDP is working with countries like Benin in enhacing national capacities to collect and analyse relevant climate and weather data and communicate it to local populations. Benin’s work in delevloping an effective early warning system proved vital in preventing the loss of life due to recent floodings.
