A practical step by step guide VCA for Red Cross Red Crescent practitioners and volunteers

The VCA is a key element of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies’ (International Federation) disaster management systems. With support from the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DFID) and the European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid department (ECHO), the VCA methodology was updated in early 2007 and many National Societies worldwide are being trained in its use. This publication provides a practical step by step guide to implementing VCAs for Red Cross and Red Crescent filed practitioners and volunteers. Published in 2009.
