The 12th Global Dialogue Platform on Anticipatory Humanitarian Action will take place from 22 to 24 October 2024 in Berlin and online. This year’s edition focuses on ‘Mainstreaming anticipatory action: collaboration in complex contexts’.

The global and regional dialogue platforms provide an interactive, engaging space for the anticipatory action community. Participants share and exchange knowledge, best practices and lessons learned to ensure there is a fundamental change within the humanitarian system: from reaction to anticipation. The call for sessions closed on 26 July 2024. Prospective session leads will be informed of the outcome by 9 August 2024 at the latest.
The Global Dialogue Platform is hosted by the Anticipation Hub, a joint initiative of the German Red Cross, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre. It is organized in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the World Food Programme (WFP), Start Network, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and Welthungerhilfe, with support from the German Federal Foreign Office.
