Philippines: Portraits of Recovery

In emergencies, it is critical that crisis-affected communities have access to information and life-saving communications to them to better understand issues that affect their lives and to make the informed decisions for themselves and their communities. Communications with Communities (CwC) is an emerging field in humanitarian response that seeks to address this information gap.

This video shares the story of Fred Padernos, station manager at Radyo Abante in Tacloban, the Filipino city hardest hit by Typhoon Haiyan in Nov 2013 as he works to provide vital information and communications to his community after the typhoon.
