September 3, 2026

This infographic provides a visual snapshot of the Urban Climate Resilience Program’s (UCRP) impact in Australia between 2023 and 2026. Organised around four impact pathways — local resilience action, shared evidence base for action, shaping policy, practice and investment, and driving collective action — it highlights key achievements, evidence, and participant perspectives that demonstrate how the program strengthened resilience to extreme heat in Western Sydney.

UCRP is a global partnership operating in cities across ten countries to strengthen resilience to climate-related disasters through locally led action, strategic partnerships, and evidence-based approaches. In Australia, UCRP is led by Australian Red Cross in partnership with Zurich Australia and the IFRC.
