Versión en español sigue abajo

The International Day for Disaster Reduction celebrates the ways in which individuals and communities are reducing their vulnerability in face of disasters and the increase in awareness around the subject. In 2015, #IDDR was celebrated on October 13, under the slogan “Knowledge for Life”, which recognizes the importance of indigenous and ancestral knowledge.

National Societies that implement the RITA project carried out a number of activities within the framework of the #IDDR, together with the communities that are part of the program. Here is a photo-report on the celebrations that took place in the region.
