Chikungunya – Hard to pronounce, but easy to prevent

Chikungunya is similar to Dengue, but the fever and joint pain are more intense in the case of Chikungunya.
Chikungunya cannot affect the same person twice.
There is no vaccine.
Generally it does not cause death, but more vulnerable persons and those with diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, renal failure, tuberculosis, among others, should be medically monitored because there have been cases of fatality in this group of people.

El Chikungunya es parecido al Dengue pero la fiebre y el dolor en las articulaciones son más intensas en el Chikungunya.

El Chikungunya NO puede dar dos veces.
No existe vacuna.
Generalmente no provoca la muerte, pero personas más vulnerables y aquellas con enfermedades como diabetes, hipertensión, insuficiencia renal, tuberculosis entre otros, deben tener un seguimiento médico ya que se han dado casos en este grupo de personas de fatalidades.
