Spice it up – Sing for Preparedness: Be Prepared

Be Prepared, a Disaster Song by Swipe, Eclipse & Avonni from GBSS School from Grenada has eventually been released! More songs will follow after the final of the Song Competition Spice it up – Sing for Preparednesson June 23rd at the Grenada Trade Center.

 

What is it? SPICE IT UP – SING FOR PREPAREDNESS is the result of a partnership between the UNDP Youth-IN project and the French, Grenada and Barbados Red Cross Societies, to promote youth volunteerism in disaster preparedness and climate change adaptation through music. The competition was open to everybody. Participants had to write a song about disaster preparedness and/or climate change adaptation on one of the 15 instrumentals made available by local and international producers. The 10 best song of each country were selected to perform at the Grand Finals, sharing the stage with professional artists such as Adrian Green and Alison Hinds. The top 5 contestants from each of the final were offered professional recording and production opportunites.
