Immersed: VR experience about flood and resilience

Immersed is the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) flood risk visualization immersive virtual reality tool targeted at US local officials. It helps to educate community leaders about the value of flood preparedness by fully immersing users at the center of a flood crisis, allow- ing them to assess damage in a community and see the benefits of mitigation actions. It is the first large-scale virtual reality tool developed by FEMA and was produced in 2016 in partnership with Resilience Action Partners, a Michael Baker and Ogilvy joint venture, and Brightline Interactive. FEMA’s communications team led on the project and used the expertise of behavioral scientists and designers.
