CAP Example COVID-19 Alert

This is an example of a public alert formatted according to the Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) standard. It is not real but is based upon an alerting situation in Trinidad and Tobago, plus advisory input from various CAP implementors worldwide. Please note that a CAP XML file must be text and the file extension should be “xml” rather than “pdf”.

The example is intended to encourage discussion and help inform good practices in the use of CAP-enabled public alerting.

If you have suggestions on how the example could be improved, please contact the author by e-mail to Eliot.J.Christian@gmail.com
