Feasibility Study for Agricultural Insurance in Nepal

A feasibility study investigating the potential for agricultural insurance to be used as a financial risk transfer tool for small and marginal farmers in Nepal. The study outlines the core institutional, financial, and technical challenges to the introduction of agricultural insurance and then outlines a framework for overcoming these challenges to develop a sustainable, market-based agricultural insurance (both crop and livestock).
