IFRC Alert Hub Overview one-pager
This two-page overview introduces the IFRC Alert Hub Initiative, which aims to protect lives and livelihoods by expanding the use of the Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) and increasing access to reliable, fast, and actionable early warning messages for people at risk.
The resource explains how the Alert Hub will aggregate CAP alerts globally into a free, online, multi-hazard source, and how it works through RCRC National Societies to promote and strengthen CAP-based emergency alerting at national level. It also highlights the role of Public Awareness and Public Education (PAPE) by linking alerts to contextual guidance on how households and communities can prepare for and respond to local hazards.
