The Livestock Emergency Guidelines and Standards (LEGS)

The Livestock Emergency Guidelines and Standards (LEGS) provide a set of international guidelines and standards for the design, implementation and assessment of livestock interventions to assist people affected by humanitarian crises. As well as the LEGS Handbook, the LEGS Project runs a global awareness raising and training programme to promote the use and future revision of the guidelines.

LEGS is a formal ‘companion‘ to the Sphere Project’sHumanitarian Charter and Minimum Standards in Humanitarian Response.
