Vous n’avez probablement pas Ebola si…

Ebola is harder to catch than you think in countries outside the three main outbreak countries, namely Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia. Ebola may dominate the news, but you’re more likely to be struck by lightning than to catch Ebola. Unlike influenza or tuberculosis, it cannot spread through the air. People contract Ebola by touching the blood or bodily fluids (including sweat, urine, and semen) of a person who’s infected (alive or dead). People are only contagious when they have symptoms. At this point they are likely to be too sick to travel or hide their symptoms.
If you have not been to West Africa recently and have not had any contact with an Ebola patient, chances are that you do not have Ebola.
