Gavin's roles have ranged from rural development in Senegal to community-based disaster preparedness in Grenada, from shelter reconstruction in Jamaica to emergency response deployments in Iraq, Haiti and Mexico. He has worked with the UN, NGOs, the French Government and the World Economic Forum, always around the topic of collaborative solutions to humanitarian needs. With the Red Cross, his focus has been on building National Society capacity, conducting assessments of response systems, reviewing Standard Operating Procedures and training both volunteer and community teams.
