Beneficiary Communication Infographic

This infographic from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) introduces the concept of beneficiary communication and its role in effective humanitarian programming. Built around the principle “Listen. Act. Now,” it presents beneficiary communication as a two-way process encompassing baseline consultation on communication channels, information dissemination, dialogue with communities, and data analysis for improved programme delivery.

The visual makes the case that affected people need information as much as they need water, food, medicine, and shelter, and that sharing information and collecting feedback strengthens humanitarian work. It outlines key outcomes—an evidence base for humanitarian diplomacy, community-driven programmes and engagement, data-informed decisions, and more resilient communities—framing communities as partners rather than passive recipients of aid.
